What to expect:
* A safe space for Black and Brown folks to drop into their bodies through Yoga, breathwork, and sound healing.
*The Yoga will be so much more about tunning inwards than about achieving a posture or shape, I teach in a way that asks you to continuously check in with your body and breath and to listen to what your body needs and wants, making it a slower paced format. Not necessarily easy but accesible for whatever level or familiarity with yoga asana you have, including none.
*If you have never experienced the healing vibrational frequencies of a sound bath you are in for real treat.
* Just a few of the potential benefits to recieving a sound bath:
- Calming your body and mind
- Reduced stress and anxiety
- Increased focus and clarity
- Decreased tension and fatigue
- Better mood and reduced negative thoughts and emotions
- Improved sleep
- Reduced muscle and joint pain
- Lower heart rate
- … and so much more
What to bring:
*Yoga mat or two if you like extra padding for laying on the floor. We can bring extras so please let us know if you need that.
*Water bottle to stay sufficiantly hydrated.
*Layers for warmth during sound bath, comfort, and varrying temps throughout the practice. warm cozy socks, lg scarf that can dble as a shawl
*Blanket for maximum cozyness, comfort and warmth. Can be small, light and easily transportable.
Things to condiser this is upstairs there is a ramp on the West side of the building and stairs in the center of the building. Parking behind the building, along 19th street so be prepared to park and bring things inside.
Enjoy a rejuvenating 20-minute sound bath session featuring the soothing tones of crystal singing bowls. The harmonious vibrations of these crystal bowls will wash over you and guide you into a relaxed meditative state, promoting stress relief, mental clarity, and emotional balance. The different frequencies and tones help to balance your energy and enhance overall well-being.
My name is Rashena Jenkins. I moved to Eugene with my late husband, Justin, and my youngest son, Josh, back in Aug 2016. I was first introduced to singing bowls years ago in CO at a Matriarch Gathering.
In the wake of all the recent challenges that I’ve had to, and continue to, work through, Sound healing and other holistic modalities such as herbs, yoga, meditation, and other forms of movement, has helped me tremendously. I am so grateful and excited to be able to share this with you.
